Pioneers drop close series to Wildcats; Tucker throws shutout

The Pioneer baseball team dropped the first two games of their weekend series against the Linfield Wildcats, falling 10-4 and 8-2 in McMinnville Saturday. Roland Greene (’11) hit the first home run of his collegiate career for the Pioneers.

Pios drop tough double-header to Whitworth, fall to last place in NWC

The Pioneer softball team fell 9-0 and 2-1 in games at Whitworth last weekend. In the first game, the Pios tallied six hits, but were unable to capitalize on opportunities, stranding seven runners over five innings and losing 9-0.

Pioneers plate 46 runs in four game sweep of Missionaries

The Pioneers won both games of Saturday's doubleheader at Whitman, 12-5 and 12-4. Ryan Kostecka ('11) had three hits, driving in four runs for the Pioneers. The Pioneer baseball team finished off their four-game sweep of the Whitman Missionaries with 8-3 and 14-4 Sunday afternoon.

Laurence’s complete game victory prevents series sweep

The Pioneers baseball team has had a rough start to the beginning of the season with only three wins in their first twelve games (1-7 NWC). This past weekend the Pios had hoped to turn things around with a four game series against the Pacific Lutheran Lutes who came into the games with a 3-5 record in conference.
